Convertible visa Madagascar
– Immigrant Visa:
A one month duration visa convertible into long stay (Investor/Expatriate Worker/Training course/Mission/Pensioner/Family reunification).
Any foreigner must leave the Malagasy Territory on the expiry of the granted visa of stay.
The visa convertible into long stay can be obtained only from the services of the Embassy and Consulates. It is a duration of 1 month, to convert in the month which follows the entry to Madagascar near the services of Immigration of the National Police force (Ministry of the Interior), into a residence permit according to the requirements by this service. The granting of a visa convertible into long stay does not imply the automatic granting of a residence permit in Madagascar.
– Documents to provide:
. A signed original passport having a validity of more than 6 months after the return date from Madagascar
. The form to be completed
. Two identical photographs and recent-format 4,5cm X 3,5cm
. Copy of the OUTWARD plane ticket with flights details (N° of reservation, N° and schedules of flights) and return ticket obligatorily to A MONTH after the departure date or plane ticket with the “OPEN” reference on the ticket

Work contract delivered by the employer in Madagascar
Statutes of the Company-Employer or an extract of the Statutes
Certificate of employment’s authorisation application (delivered by Ministry of Labour and social legislation – EDBM in Madagascar)
Extract of Police record N°3 Bulletin (less than 3 months- original)
Certificate of change of residence (town hall in France).
– Investors:
Statutes of the Company (except for Private industry)
Statistical Card (Card of Identification of Establishment)
Registration Certificate (Tax Identification Number)
Declaration of Existence (for the companies)
Extract Trade and Companies Register Banking certificate of the Company delivered by a Bank in Madagascar
Extract of Police record N°3 Bulletin (less than 3 months- original)
Birth certificate
Certificate of change of residence (town hall in France).
– Family grouping:
Malagasy passport copy or Malagasy Identity card of the husband (wife)
Certificate of residence of the husband (wife) or the parents already established in Madagascar (recent)
Extract Marriage certificate or Family record book or birth certificate
Police clearance N°3 Bulletin (less than 3 months original)
Certificate of change of residence delivered by the Town hall in France
Visa Copy on the passport of the husband (wife) or valid Resident’s card (if the husband (wife) is of foreign nationality).
– Pensioners:
Certificate of retirement
Opening of a bank account or post office account in Madagascar
Banking certificate in Madagascar justifying that the account is well provisioned by the Pension fund or an external bank (with permanent transfer order)
Police clearance Bulletin N°3 (less than 3 months original)
Certificate of change of residence (town hall in France).
– Internship > 3 months:
Convention of internship signed between the two parts (definite term to mention)
Certificate + Written proof of accommodation and support delivered by Madagascar

– Mission > 3 months:
Letter of assignment or certificate delivered by the employer Company /Association in France (with indication of the precise duration of the mission)
Certification + Certificate of accommodation and support delivered by Madagascar (with indication of the precise duration of the mission)
